Serra de Tramuntana
Ga wanneer u op Mallorca bent, op de Balearen, op deze sightseeing dagtrip met gids om de schoonheid van het eiland te ontdekken. La Carretera de Sa Calobra (MA 2141)
Geniet van de busreis terwijl de gidsen u informatie geven over dit prachtige gebied en alle verschillende bezienswaardigheden die we tegenkomen, zoals het klooster van Lluc, de Puig Mayor, de rivier Torrente de Pareis. Tijdens dit deel van de reis krijgt u de gelegenheid om een van de meest spectaculaire wegen van Europa te zien: de weg naar Sa Calobra. De weg naar Sa Calobra is in totaal 13 kilometer lang en is gebouwd in 1929. Als we over deze weg rijden, hebt u een uniek uitzicht op de omgeving.

Sa Calobra
Geniet van het adembenemende uitzicht op de rotsformaties aan de westkust van Mallorca terwijl u via een kronkelige weg naar La Calobra rijdt. Hier heeft u de tijd om het dorp te verkennen, een hapje te eten in een van de kleine cafés rond de haven (op eigen kosten) of te ontspannen aan het strand.

Torrent de Pareis
De Torrent de Pareis werd duizenden jaren geleden gevormd in het midden van het Tramuntana-gebergte, een kloof van meer dan 3 kilometer lang die tussen kloven loopt tot hij de beroemde baai van Sa Calobra bereikt. Deze kloof van kalksteenrotsen is in de loop van de tijd gesmeed door de erosieve werking van stromend water.
Het is nu een echt middelpunt voor sportieve activiteiten geworden vanwege de formaties en vanwege het absoluut adembenemende uitzicht!

Het volgende deel van de tour begint als we aan boord gaan van een moderne boot voor een boottocht van 40 minuten. Deze boottocht brengt ons van Sa Calobra naar de haven van Soller, terwijl we langs de kust varen, ziet u de schoonheid van Mallorca op een manier die al uw verwachtingen overtreft. Het is een beeld de oude verdedigingstorens, baaien, kliffen, zeegrotten en kleine eilanden vanaf zee blijven u altijd bij.

Port de Soller
Zodra we in de haven van Soller zijn aangekomen, is het tijd om de tram naar Soller te nemen. De reis duurt ongeveer 25 minuten en eindigt bij het klassieke treinstation van Soller in het plaatsje Soller. Tijdens deze rit gaan we door boomgaarden vol citroen- en sinaasappelbomen, het beroemdste landschap van Soller, en de tram rijdt rechtstreeks door de stad.

Zodra we met de tram vanuit Puerto Soller in de prachtige stad Soller aankomen, hebben we tijd voor een kort bezoek aan het charmante historische centrum voordat we aan boord gaan van de beroemde houten trein van Soller. We volgen de oorspronkelijke reis die in de 100 jaar dat hij bestaat nauwelijks is veranderd.

El Tren de Soller
Voor velen is de treinreis het hoogtepunt van deze eilandtour van Mallorca. Deze ervaring is de finishing touch waardoor u helemaal verliefd wordt op het eiland. U stapt aan boord van de wereldberoemde houten trein van Soller, die in 1912 werd gebouwd. De trein passeert de vallei van Soller terwijl hij door verschillende tunnels rijdt, waardoor we een prachtig uitzicht hebben op de vallei. De trein stopt in de stad Bunyola en we stappen uit op station Son Reus. Daar wacht onze touringcar op ons om ons terug te brengen naar waar we eerder op de dag zijn begonnen met de tour.

Fantastic day trip, the train, tram and boat journeys were fantastic, but if you are frightened of heights then this isn't the trip for you as the journey back by coach was unbelievable with sheer drops at the side of the road, our coach actually caught a bolder at the side of the road on one of the tight corners and damaged the side of the bus and the back bumper. On the hole it was still worth the money but if we were to do the trip again in the future then we'd miss out the boat and coach trip back to Palma

Its a grear experience to see and visit . The concept of different travel vechiles Bus, boat , tram , train is very novel and worth it for the value . Pedro the tour guide is a wealth of knoweledge , very friendly and provides a sense of fun rather then haste as some tourguides do . I highly recommended both the tour and Pedro the guide

What a surprising tour, we travelled right up high in the mountains then onto the picturesque town of Sa Colabra then by boat to Port de Soller and then train and bus back to Mallorca. Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The roads up into the mountains were so tight and winding but didn't seem to be an issue for our bus driver. A great way to see all the diversity Mallorca has to offer. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

We Went on 22nd October, what can i say!! FANTASTIC, Awesome day, loved every minute of it, lovely scenery on coach drive through mountains, really enjoyed the trip round the coast on the boat , to top it all enjoyable trip through the town and mountains on train

I did this tour last week, with No Frills Excursions. I have mixed feelings about it but mainlypositive. I did this from the South of Mallorca so I'm not sure if you do it from the North it's abit different. Pick up at my hotel was 45 minutes late. The drive up the mountains took some skill from our driver! Hats off to him. The road is truly spectacular and with the amount of cyclists, it's takes a special type of driving. First stop was Inca leather shop. I know this wasn't a popular visit, but I did buy a bag and purse so I'm not complaining but maybe I could have done without this stop. Then onto the mountain road Serra de Tramuntana as described above. Fortunately I was sitting on the right hand side with the views otherwise left sitters see nothing. Then onto Sa Colobra for the boat. We had around 45 minutes here I think. It's very beautiful but the food choices are awful, a buffet style. Other than that I liked the place. We took the red boat to Port de Soller, stunning town. Proper beautiful Mallorca, we had a short time here, not really enough time but it was lovely to see. We then took the tram, together as a group to (or should I say through) Soller. My goodness it's like a movie set, unique, quaint, beautiful. Didn't stop just got to the El Tren de Soller train for the journey back.

Still 4 stars

The tour was really well organised and the guide, Angela was a real gem - could have done with more time in Soller and Port Soller but not sure how that would have worked with everything else.

We enjoyed this trip and we’re fully aware of the fact that it was all about the TRAVEL part of the experience. However, we felt that the tram/train ride through the orange groves became rather monotonous very quickly. In the summer, having extra time at la Pareis (Collabro) would be fantastic, or in the winter, having additional time at Soller. Both were lovely. However, as a once off, it was a lovely experience.

Weather was warm (72°f), but not hot which was good. We stayed in cala mayor just outside palma which was cheaper than palma itself. It had a main st with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants open but not packed as it was out of season.
The hotel was the Marivent Be Live Adults only. It had an excellent beach right in front. The pool was small but deep. We were breakfast only. Food was just about adequate but very repetitive.
Staff were very friendly. Room air con not very cold same as mini fridge which had temp control broken off.
When I complained to desk was told fridge not meant to get cold ! Room had big mirror next to toilet that had a door that would not close so good only if you like watching your partner sit on the loo !
Had a day out in Magaluf. Dont bother as out of season everywhere is closed but you do get beach to yourself. There were 2 people on it when we went.
Overall out of season has its pluses and minuses but cala mayor was ok.

It was fun seeing different places and locations during a short period, places that we otherwise would not have visited. However, for some reason the boat trip was cancelled and most of the journey was done in a bus. We wished for more in-depth information about the island, flora and fauna, history etc., but the info was quite limited. Also the guide seemed a bit bored most of the time. So, if you mostly enjoy watching nature from a bus, this is for you. For the rest of you, I’d recommend saving your money for something more fun and interesting:) wasn’t worth the price for us, unfortunately.

Riding very cool old train thru the mountains and seeing beautiful scenery was terrific. Also loved walking thru cave structure and ending on beach.
